Ben Travis
Ben Travis is a solo artist who writes all his own songs, as well as sings, plays the piano, guitar and drums, engineers, and produces on all his recordings. "My goal, " he says, "is to write music that will inspire people to think and ask meaningful questions about the world around them." His style is gentle, yet thoughtful, and his musicianship is high quality.
Ben grew up in a small town in Kentucky, and learned to play the piano by listening and watching his dad play. He then attended Belmont University in Nashville, TN, and graduated with a degree in vocal composition in 1996. He continues to record and perform his own music while balancing that with a career as a middle school teacher. His influences include Elton John, Billy Joel, and Sting.
